My Top Picks: Bookish Candles

There’s no questioning it, candles are all the rage on bookstagram right now. Ranking up with nerdy bookmarks, coffee cups, and fairy lights, bookish candles are at the height of bookstagram photography trends.

Naturally, many business large and small have taken to selling their own candles, each with unique styles, designs, and scents. There are so many wonderful companies to choose from, but it’s up to us consumers to narrow the choices down. I’m here to help with a few of my personal recommendations.


Wick and Fable

Wick and Fable candles are made in Queens, New York, but they ship to across the world. In addition, they offer monthly candle boxes, bundle sets, limited edition arrivals, and literary teas. Compared to other companies, Wick and Fable offers an unusually diverse range of candles at very affordable prices.

LemonCakes offers candles emblazoned with big, bold fonts and bright colors. Their designs are my favorite on the list. They offer monthly boxes and ship worldwide.

Tookish Candle Company

Tookish Candle Co offers beautiful candles from Harry Potter, Middle Earth, or Narnia. In addition, they offer exclusive boxes and prints. Some of my personal favorites include Stouthearted Gardener, Tea with Tumnus, and Camp Half-Blood.

Due to popular demand they are currently out of stock, but their next restock is on Wednesday, April 11th at 8:30pm CST!

Flick the Wick

Flick the Wick has some of the most beautiful candles on Instagram! They offer a wide range of YA and fantasy-themed candles for only $8.00!

Unfortunately, they are not currently accepting regular orders (most likely due to popular demand!) Their shop will be closed down until April 30, but their monthly boxes are still available!

Canterbury Road Company

The most underrated company on this list, Canterbury offers limited edition sets and candles for each month. I absolutely adore the designs. I currently own two (One More Chapter and Currently Blogging). They smell and look amazing and I am more than satisfied. They do not have their own website, but operate on Etsy.
